Roberts Arts and Crafts

How is everyone doing today? Well I'm having an awesome day so far. This is my first design team project for Roberts Arts and Crafts and I had a blast making it. Roberts Arts and Crafts offers a variety of supplies from basic scrapbooking to mixed media crafts..and everything in between! Here I used the
K and Co Cut N Paste Designer Paper to make this fun 12 by 12 layout of mys kids first day of school. I love this paper. I also used some of my favorite Tim Holtz tools to complete the layout. I made some flowers using tissue tape found at Roberts Arts and Crafts.  They are fun and easy to make. Scroll down below to see the step by step directions on how I made these cute little flowers!

First pick colors to incorporate into your layout or project.

Using your Tim Holz scissors, cut a few layers of 3 by 3 inch squares.

For my flower, I cut 5 squares.

Fold each square into a accordion fold (back and forth). The folds do not have to be perfect.

Layer all the squares together and staple the center using your Tim Holtz tiny adapter.

Spread the folds like a fan until you have a shape of a flower.

Use your favorite embellishment and place it in the center of the flower. Here I used some pearls for my center.

I love how the flowers turned out. Very fun and easy to make! I hope you enjoyed my project for this month. Feel free to leave  a comment and thanks for stopping by!

Roberts Arts and Crafts Blog Hop

Hi all!!

I am so excited...and a little nervous!! This is only my second blog hop since I started my blog back in March of this year. I'm so new to the blogging community and learning as I go.. Well let me tell you a little about myself...I have been happily married for a little over five years with my best friend. I have three kids, 13, 4, and 22 months...They are my life and the reason why I started scrapbooking. I started scrapbooking about four years ago when my SIL introduced me to this addicting hobby. I did try scrapbooking long ago but gave up after a few layouts..I really don't have a special style. I love to try new things..I love using my Cricut machine but I also love mix media art..(I'm all over the place!).  My hubby says I'm out of control when it comes to scrapbooking, hence my blog name! Anyways, I'm excited about Roberts Crafts Design Team and am honored to be part of the team! I hope to bring a fresh look to the team and am thrilled to make new friends while I'm at it! Without further ado, here is the line up for the blog hop. Please visit these talented ladies and leave them a comment!!

Up next is Michelle- http://designsoncloud9.blogspot.com/
