My Creative TimeThrifty Thursday

Happy Thursday MCT Peeps! I hope you guys are having a fabulous week so far! For todays challenge our fabulous design team members Liz and Shar came up with this awesome idea! They asked use to use our scraps to make a card for charity or to support an organization or person. SO, I made this card for the family of a fallen officer in our area. This was a tragedy and my heart goes out to the family of the officer and his fellow co workers. I know a card cannot bring much confront to a grieving family but I wanted them to know they are in our prayers.

For my card I used mostly left over items so I cant really give you a whole lot of info. I did use Liz's Paper Loft burlap ribbon (which I love) and of course Miss Emma's stamps. This sentiment is from the Floral Sentiment set. I distress the edges of the paper and then ran it through my sewing machine. The crosses are from the jewlery section at Michael's.  I know we were supposed to use scraps but this card was truly made from love! And I had such a hard time making it!

Thank you for stopping by today. I thought this was a great way to give back and think about others in our community. Make sure you visit the rest of the design team. Big crafty hugs!

MCT Scrapping the Little Things

Welcome to another fabulous "Scrapping the Little Things" series at My Creative Time! As you know, every other Monday, we focus on our project life and our smash book pages. Im so behind on my smash book! I have so many pictures and mementos that I cannot keep up (Probably cause I keep everything and take tons of photos. lol) I love working on my smash book because its fast and simple. Emma's products are perfect for this kind of scrapbooking. Her dies and stamps go so well with all of our every day lives. Today, I made this double page of me and my son. We were Christmas shopping and I treated him to a ride on the Merry-go-Round. He was such a good boy that day.  So check out the photos and of course I made a video! YAY

3D Wednesday at My Creative Time

Happy Wednesday all!!! I hope you guys are having a fabulous week so far! As for me, well I can honestly say I have lost my mojo. I have been forcing myself to create but as we all know, you cannot force it out! I had a difficult time with this card today! It took me about three hours to make and I really don't like it. But like Emma says, there is no mistakes in crafting and she's right! Todays challenge was to make a project using a banner.  My hubby has an up coming promotion and I thought this would be perfect.  I bought the die cut  from the scrapbook expo a few years back and have been hoarding since then.   I think the Build a Banner kit is one of my favorite sets because you can really use this in so many projects. I picked the star looking die to match the theme. Regardless, I love Emma's stamps and dies!
